Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Dining Services Manager to supervise dining room operations for a senior living community. You will oversee dining room staff, room service, and related services to ensure a high-quality dining experience for residents while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, resident interactions, and collaboration with the Dining Services Director.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current ServSafe Certification required. Obtain and hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dining room operations, room service, and store as applicable.
• Assign staff to sections, supervise side-work, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of room service orders and smooth dining room openings/closings.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and coverage for shifts.
• Oversee resident billing of food services charges.
• Assist in producing weekly staff schedules with budget guidelines.
• Train new dining room associates and conduct ongoing training sessions.
• Assist service staff during meals and help greet and seat residents and guests.
