Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director for North American B2B Secular Shift – B2C Retail & Restaurants to drive go-to-market efforts across NAM, expanding issuer partnerships and new distribution channels. The role centers on engaging clients, building a strong sales pipeline, and closing high-potential deals in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing and Franchise teams to align incentives, enable sales enablement, and ensure resources for segment success.

Qualifications

• Hands-on understanding of POS and invoice payments in B2C Retail & Restaurants segments.
• Ability to move ideas to action quickly and prioritize initiatives.
• Motivation to shift legacy payment flows toward card-based solutions.
• Ability to connect customer needs to business outcomes and articulate value propositions.
• Lead through influence across product, sales, marketing and operations.
• Balance quantitative insight with qualitative understanding for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the B2C Retail & Restaurants secular shift go-to-market strategy across NAM.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, New Payments Flows, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Engage clients, identify high-potential opportunities, build a robust sales pipeline and close deals.
• Drive commercialization with stakeholders to ensure resource availability for segment initiatives.
• Ensure customer-centric narratives are reflected in deals and discussions.
• Support client negotiations and align Mastercard’s value proposition with client needs.
• Track pipeline performance using SFDC and related tools for timely action.
• Champion cross-group alignment to build momentum with senior leadership.
• Develop SMB growth strategies and scalable models for issuer portfolios.
• Create client materials, training, and use-case content tailored to SMB needs.
