Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) seeks a Director for Merger Integrations and Carve‑Outs in the U.S. leveraging MI & C capabilities to drive large, complex PE deals.

You will lead Integration Management Office efforts, oversee synergies, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close execution while guiding teams and engaging with clients. The role requires 10+ years in consulting, deep functional expertise across finance, HR, supply chain, communications, and program leadership; MBA preferred; travel 75%+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, divestitures, business transformation and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
• Leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
• Deep functional expertise across Finance, HR, leadership, communications, supply chain, and related domains.
• Proven ability to drive revenue and profitability initiatives and operate programs.
• MBA preferred; excellent oral and written communication; initiative; critical thinking.
• Willingness to travel 75%+.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and needs with innovative approaches.
• Lead the entire Integration Management Office or focus areas like Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, or Roadmap.
• Deliver large, complex engagements designing and implementing business & technology solutions.
• Provide interim functional management when required.
• Lead Day 1 and Day 100 planning and execution across strategic, operational, and back‑office domains.
• Drive performance improvements, track progress, and adjust strategies or personnel.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and manage client relationships.
• Participate in proposals and business development; lead small engagements or components.
• Contribute to practice development and public speaking; support recruitment and staffing.
