Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Engineering Leader to guide Platform strategy, multi-cloud infrastructure, and internal platforms. You will lead an organization of engineers, DevOps, and SREs focused on reliability, security, and cost optimization while delivering high-impact HR technology solutions.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a track record of accelerating delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years technology & engineering leadership overseeing large software programs and stakeholder management.
• 8+ years leading teams in a matrix organization.
• 4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO to influence or improve products.
• 4+ years leading discovery sessions, workshops, demos, onboarding sessions, and enablement activities.
• 2+ years in a leadership role coordinating across software cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years influencing stakeholders, managing vendor/budget relationships, and translating technical strategies for business units.
• 2+ years strong written and verbal communication for proposals, roadmaps, and executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Platform strategy and delivery with Architecture, Technical Product owners and AppDev teams.
• Build and scale internal platforms, golden paths, and self-service tools to lower developer cognitive load and improve experience.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines, IaC, GitOps workflows, and DevSecOps to embed security and observability.
• Partner with product, architecture, and stakeholders to design scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams of Engineers, DevOps, and SRE while managing cloud spend and vendor relations.
• Track engineering productivity and reliability metrics, manage cloud costs and compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools, cloud-native services into Platform and delivery lifecycle.
