Job summary

Sunlight Financial is seeking a Director of Business Development to launch and own a new contractor account pipeline on the East Coast. You will build relationships, source opportunities, and onboard contractors to Sunlight’s platform from the ground up, leveraging a strong home-services network.

Reporting to the VP, BD, you will manage the full lifecycle from outreach through onboarding, collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations, and attend events to expand Sunlight’s market presence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in home improvement business development and channel partnerships.
• Extensive network in the home services sector.
• Experience building and scaling a partner pipeline from outreach to launch.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage East Coast contractor pipeline through outreach, networking, referrals and events.
• Acquire new partnerships with mid-to-large home improvement contractors and onboard them.
• Own the BD process from initial outreach to onboarding and launch.
• Present Sunlight’s value proposition to partners with a consultative approach.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Ops to ensure seamless partner experience.
• Represent Sunlight at industry events to expand presence.
