Job summary

Brex is seeking a Manager, Banking Operations to lead a high‑impact team responsible for money movement, monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, and stablecoins, and to partner across product, engineering, compliance, and customer success. The role is based in San Francisco in a hybrid environment with in‑office and remote work options.

You will coach analysts, shape processes, and advance AI-driven workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and control while maintaining rigorous risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years in US banking/fintech operations or related financial services environment
• 2+ years people management experience with coaching and accountability
• Experience with high-risk money movement workflows and payment rails (fedwire, swift, ach, checks, etc.)
• Fluency with AI tools and applying AI to improve team effectiveness and operational scale
• Strong judgment for risk assessment, escalation decisions, and audit-ready documentation
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Treasury/Finance
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to convert complexity into guidance and leadership updates
• Builder mindset with ability to improve workflows and automate to scale quality and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Banking Operations analysts; set priorities, coach performance and maintain accountability
• Oversee payment monitoring across rails; ensure timely review of alerts and escalations with risk-based decisions
• Build scalable operating frameworks for onboarding, QA, escalation management, and coverage planning
• Advance AI-native goals by identifying high-impact use cases and driving AI adoption across the team
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and external banking partners to strengthen controls
• Drive continuous improvement by root-cause analysis and automation to increase throughput
• Translate frontline insights into reporting and leadership updates with trends and risks
