Brex is seeking a Manager of Banking Operations in Salt Lake City to lead a high‑stakes payments monitoring team. You will coach analysts, shape processes, and partner across Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering to deliver fast, accurate outcomes while maintaining control and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in US banking operations or related field.
• 2+ years of people management.
• Knowledge of payment rails (Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, etc.).
• Fluency with AI tools such as Claude, Hex, Granola, and Glean.
• Strong judgment and audit-ready documentation.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Treasury or external partners.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complexity.
• Builder mindset with operational discipline and scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Banking Operations team by setting priorities and coaching performance.
• Oversee payment monitoring across rails; review alerts and escalations with risk-based decisions.
• Build scalable operating frameworks for onboarding, QA, escalation, and coverage planning.
• Advance Brex AI-native goals by identifying high-impact use cases and tooling.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and external banking partners to improve controls.
• Drive continuous improvement; identify root causes and automate where possible.
• Translate frontline insights into reporting and leadership updates.
