Job summary

Brex is hiring for a Manager, Banking Operations to lead a critical team responsible for money movement and monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, and stablecoins. You will develop and coach a team, implement scalable workflows, and drive AI-enabled improvements in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

The role is based in New York City with a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence three days per week and offering flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading banking or payments operations teams.
• Ability to coach and develop analysts and reviewers.
• Strong judgment, documentation, and process discipline.
• Experience guiding payment monitoring across Fedwire/SWIFT/ACH and checks.
• Familiarity with AI-native initiatives and automation.
• Ability to partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering.
• Experience communicating insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Banking Operations analysts with clear priorities and expectations.
• Oversee payment monitoring across multiple rails and ensure timely, risk-based decisions.
• Develop scalable onboarding, QA, escalation management, and coverage plans.
• Drive AI-native initiatives and adoption across the team to improve speed and quality.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and external partners.
• Identify root causes and implement automation to increase throughput and control.
• Translate frontline insights into reporting and actionable leadership recommendations.
