Motorola Solutions is seeking a Director of Business Development for the U.S. Army to lead long-range capture efforts and shape opportunities with end users, primes and OEM partners.

The role emphasizes strategic relationship building, market intelligence, and cross‑functional collaboration to win complex programs. The position supports remote work depending on location, with up to 50% travel to engage customers and advance company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant defense sales experience.
• Proven track record in capturing DoD programs and large, long-cycle pursuits.
• Strong written and oral communication, briefing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the capture process for large-scale, multi-year US Army programs.
• Build and maintain deep relationships with PEOs, PMs, primes, OEMs and end-users.
• Shape requirements with customers to position MN-MIMO solutions for long-term programs.
• Manage lifecycle from horizon scan to proposal and award for strategic programs.
• Collaborate with MDE and Account Sales to ensure smooth transition of landed programs.
• Monitor market trends, funding priorities and competitor actions to guide capture strategy.
