Job summary

TDS Telecom is seeking a Direct Sales Supervisor to coach and grow a team of Direct Sales Representatives, driving revenue and customer growth while ensuring adherence to company policies.

The role involves leading performance reviews, training, and day-to-day supervision, with a focus on expanding residential customer base and selling new products to existing customers. Strong leadership and telecommunications knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience.
• 2+ years outside sales and/or sales coach experience.
• 1+ year supervisory or sales management experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business.
• Understanding of the telecommunication industry, including products and services.
• Track record of success in residential sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others as evidenced in person interviews and via telephone.
• Ability to work independently as evidenced by identifying problems, gathering data, weighing the facts, consulting others as necessary, and making decisions.
• Computer literacy (i.e., Excel, Word, email, Internet).

Responsibilities

• Hire, motivate and coach a team of sales representatives to meet revenue targets and performance expectations.
• Educate potential customers in person and by phone about services to obtain appointments.
• Write and submit accurate orders following the sales process.
• Oversee orders from sales staff and ensure timely processing.
• Manage customer accounts from initial sale through installation and follow-up for satisfaction.
• Submit weekly and monthly sales achievements to upper management.
• Coordinate with local distributors and property owners to roll out referrals.
• Maintain knowledge and skills to achieve success in the role.
