Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Branch Customer Service Associate in Salisbury, MD to deliver exceptional service at the teller window and through digital engagement. You will greet customers, balance and process transactions, and address routine account needs with accuracy and courtesy.

You will follow bank policies, log complaints, and escalate complex issues while promoting a welcoming environment and supporting a branded customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months customer service experience including data entry and/or cash handling.
• Proven verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience by understanding needs and delivering solutions.
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations; identify self-service opportunities.
• Engage in lobby management, greet customers, and address immediate needs.
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately following Bank Policy.
• Log and resolve customer complaints; take ownership of escalated account services issues.
• Transition sales opportunities and introduce banking partners as appropriate.
• Complete branch-related operational activities (cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfers).
• Process customer/account maintenance accurately.
• Complete AML/KYC related activities and adhere to compliance controls.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit findings as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
