Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in business development, sales, or leadership, preferably in digital services or HVAC.
• Strong understanding of customer value drivers for connected buildings and energy management.
• Experience collaborating across equipment, controls, service, and account teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate digital capabilities into business value.
• Candidates with no 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience is valued.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean record (last 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Develop BD strategy for Trane’s digital services and connected solutions in the Great Lakes Region.
• Identify, develop, and close opportunities related to connected services, analytics, and monitoring.
• Partner with sales teams to expand adoption of digitally enabled solutions.
• Build relationships with building owners, operators, contractors, and engineers.
• Position digital value to support decarbonization and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate across functions to create account strategies for growth.
• Support sales in linking building automation with digital capabilities.
• Influence account teams with varying levels of digital fluency.
• Maintain pipeline discipline and forecast accuracy; use CRM rigor.
• Translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes for customers.
• Participate in customer meetings and regional sales activities to promote growth.
• Contribute to annual objectives for revenue, margins, and retention.
