Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while staying close to code and key technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, and manage dependencies and risks, communicating with stakeholders and ensuring delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework (Angular or React) and guiding full-stack decisions.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, container deployments, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience leading distributed teams across geographies and with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and risk management.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure clear ownership.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, and career development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and stakeholders to translate requirements into plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics with clear communication.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and post-delivery improvement.
• Support data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink when required.
