Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while staying close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate with client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React for UI guidance and full-stack decisions.
• Experience deploying and operating enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Proficiency with source control, build automation, CI/CD, containers, unit/integration tests, and code quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, distributed teams, and stakeholder communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proofs-of-concepts.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and release readiness.
• Coordinate work across teams in different geographies, ensuring clear ownership and timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, code-quality feedback, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, operations, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; elevate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness across the lifecycle.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, or equivalent technologies.
