Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• 6+ years of software development experience and leading delivery teams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot; microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks (Angular/React).
• Cloud platform experience and enterprise app delivery.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, containers, testing, and code quality gates.
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams and coordinate stakeholders.
• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar).
• Observability and monitoring using Splunk or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery from planning through production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, and debugging.
• Design solutions with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs.
• Plan Agile deliveries: backlog, sprints, releases, demos.
• Coordinate cross-geo teams with clear ownership and handoffs.
• Mentor engineers and support career development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, and security.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Support event-driven/data-processing solutions with Kafka/Hadoop/Spark/Flink.
