Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in post-acute care dining services. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, and support the cook and dietary supervisor on shift.

Responsibilities include tray assembly, dishwashing, serving meals, recording temperatures, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Prior food service exposure and ability to follow procedures are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals and checking/changing water temperatures of dishwashing machine.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash, organize groceries, and leave the kitchen sanitary.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
