Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide for our post-acute care environment. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, strip and wash dishes, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to obtain a food handlers' certificate. Reading recipes and following procedures are essential, and you will work closely with the cook and dietary supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record dishwasher parameters at shift start.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Carry out trash and keep storage areas orderly.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
