PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily kitchen operations, meal service, and sanitation in a post-acute care setting. The role involves learning routines quickly, assembling meal trays, and assisting with dishwashing and food handling.

You will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen by cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipment, while coordinating with the dietary staff. The position emphasizes teamwork across departments and adherence to safety and food-handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; carry out trash.
• Put groceries away safely and keep a clean kitchen.
• Leave kitchen sanitary; assist cook or dietary supervisor as needed.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators; maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
• Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments.
