Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal service in a healthcare setting. The role involves learning food service routines, setting up meal trays, assisting with serving, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments and snacks, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards are followed throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food service routines quickly.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks for meals.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and kitchen floors.
• Carry out trash and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.
• Observe and record dishwashing water temperature and chlorine levels.
