Job summary

PACS is recruiting a Dietary Aide to support meal service in a post-acute care setting. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain kitchen sanitation and dishwashing operations on each shift.

Responsibilities include checking dishwasher water temperatures, recording chlorine levels, preparing nourishments, and assisting with training of dietary staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temp of the dishwasher at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors; carry out trash disposal.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary and assist cook or dietary supervisor.
