Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support food service in a post-acute care setting. You will learn routines, set up meal trays, assist with serving, and keep the kitchen clean.

You’ll also monitor dishwasher temperatures and assist with training of dietary staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read recipes, and the commitment to obtain a food handlers' certificate.

• Must learn food service routine quickly.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to learn food service routine within a short period.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and floors; operate dishwasher.
• Check and record temperatures and water chemistry of dishwashing machine.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
