Job summary

McLane is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and refrigeration units. The role requires diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, reading service bulletins, and completing paperwork accurately.

Candidates should have 2 years of diesel repairs experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ASE PMI certification. A Class C license is required, with Class A preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of diesel repair experience on tractor-trailer and refrigeration systems.
• Experience in fleet maintenance or progression within the company is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow service bulletins and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Mechanic II, including preventative maintenance on trailers and refrigeration units.
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild components such as clutches, water pumps, wheels, suspension, transmissions, and brakes.
• Perform diesel engine tune-ups, alignments, and electrical diagnostics.
