Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support future growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, and diagnostics in a shop environment, under supervision. You may travel to customer locations as needed.

The role emphasizes strong safety practices, adherence to DOT/EPA/DOT standards, and accurate documentation on repair orders using company tools and systems.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable MVR (3 years) and ability to obtain DQ file.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and procedures.
• Independently determine parts and coordinate with Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with end-of-day cleanup.
• Apply training to perform tasks and interpret technical information.
