Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support our fleet maintenance at a Cox location. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow-up repairs, and diagnostics in a shop environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and owning a set of hand tools. Day shift; occasional travel; no remote work. Base pay is $26.73–$40.10/hour with potential incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related field experience; HS plus certs acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license; able to obtain DOT Medical Card promptly.
• Own a set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• Experience with DOT inspections and preventative maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light/follow-up repairs in a shop.
• Diagnose electrical/hydraulic/mechanical issues and perform diagnostics under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and correctly document findings.
• Coordinate with Service Writer to discuss RO findings and parts needs.
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental policies and DOT regulations.
