Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Michigan is hiring a skilled diesel truck technician. Starting pay is $27 to $33 per hour, with advancement based on experience and ASE certifications.

Shift: 5am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing issues, and repairing diesel refuse trucks, with focus on hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes and suspension. Also perform preventative maintenance to keep fleet reliable for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• ASE certifications or testing experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $27 to $33 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift: 5am-3pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
