Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician in Wisconsin to perform inspections, diagnose issues, and repair refuse trucks to keep the fleet operating safely.

The role focuses on hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and PTOs, with an emphasis on reliable daily operation. The position offers full-time hours with overtime after 40 hours and benefits after the probation period, alongside PTO and 401K eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel refuse trucks is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Pay

Starting Pay: $28-$40/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift

Shift: 12pm-10pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
