Job summary

GFL is seeking a diesel truck maintenance technician in Kingsford, MI to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, with increases for ASE certification and experience.

Shift is 6am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include 15 days of PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and a 401K plan after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $25 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level. We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE. Shift: 6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
