Job summary
GFL Environmental Inc. in Topeka, KS is seeking a Diesel Refuse Truck Mechanic. You will perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and repair diesel refuse trucks to keep the fleet operating safely and reliably.
You will troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension and PTO systems and handle preventative maintenance. Starting pay is $30-$35 per hour with raises based on experience, ASE certs and skill level. Shift is 11am-7:30pm, Monday to Friday, with OT after 40 hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $30-$35/hr
More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.
Shift: 11am-730pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked. Will be trained on first shift the first 90 days.
We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
