Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Diesel Technician for the Atlanta South (College Park), GA area. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the Engine Shop, mentoring teammates and leading projects as needed.

We value a strong diagnostic mindset, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should have Cummins Engine Repair Certification, 3–5+ years’ experience, and a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus. Pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Diesel diagnostic experience required (3–5+ years).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL a plus.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification required.
• Master Technician certifications preferred.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with email, Outlook, Word, Excel and dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service to keep repairs on schedule.
• Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership standards.
• Stay current on OEM bulletins and industry practices.
• Mentor apprentices and help lead the team when needed.
