Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a Diesel Technician for the Atlanta South (College Park) shop in GA. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks, while collaborating with a skilled team dedicated to quality craftsmanship.

You’ll mentor apprentices, lead projects when needed, and stay current with OEM bulletins and best practices. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for career growth within our dealership network.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification is required.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with dealership management and diagnostic software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to stay on schedule.
