Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Atlanta South Engine Shop. You will work with skilled technicians, mentor apprentices, and participate in leading projects to grow our capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience, a Cummins certification, and strong mechanical aptitude. CDL is a plus, with a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification is required.
• Master Technician certifications welcome.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Proficient with dealership diagnostic software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings clearly.
• Collaborate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
