Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Atlanta South (College Park), GA, is hiring a Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will work in the Engine Shop, mentoring apprentices and leading projects when needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus).
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and dealership software proficiency.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and findings accurately.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.
• Mentor apprentices and help lead the team when needed.
