Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician in our Atlanta South (College Park), GA shop. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks, while mentoring teammates and leading projects as needed.

You’ll work with a team that values quality, safety, and continuous growth, following OEM procedures and dealership standards. A strong diagnostics background and Cummins certification are key to success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification required.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
• Ensure repairs stay on schedule by coordinating with Parts and Service.
