Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a Diesel Engine Technician for the Atlanta South (College Park), GA area. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks, mentor teammates, and lead projects in the Engine Shop.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification is required.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas are preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Proficiency with dealership management and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.
• Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
