Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Foley, AL seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP1). You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for an assigned patient group within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

Under supervision, you will document care, educate patients and families, and coordinate safe hemodialysis delivery. Requires nursing degree, state license and CPR/BLS; prior dialysis experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• 9 months experience as a RN; 3 months in chronic/acute hemodialysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs data collection and documentation during hemodialysis for assigned patients.
• Assesses and documents patient/family learning needs and provides education.
• Directs and delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with staff.
• Administers medications per prescribed protocol and assists with emergency response as needed.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure

Current or successful CPR BLS Certification
