Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1) in outpatient dialysis settings. You will provide and coordinate nursing care, mentor staff, and participate in quality improvement within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

The role emphasizes patient care across assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with opportunities to advance through CAP requirements and collaboration with a diverse care team.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; valid state license; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Perform data collection and document in the patient medical record; adjust treatment plan as indicated.
• Educate patients and families; support ongoing education.
• Administer medications per protocol; assist with emergency response measures.
• Supervise Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as Team Leader or Nurse in Charge.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing and shipping; reschedule missed collections.
• Update nursing assessment and care plan with Interdisciplinary Team; discuss transplant options.
