Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Alabama is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation. This role supports the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team with assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

The nurse collaborates with the team to ensure safe hemodialysis delivery, provides education to patients and families, and participates in quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active state licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Provide safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with the care team and supervise or mentor junior staff as assigned.
