Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Anniston, AL seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, coordinating with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs to deliver hemodialysis therapy.

You will complete CAP requirements to advance and participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities within the ESKD care team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

Perform duties under supervision and guidance of Nurse leadership.
Collect and analyze patient data around dialysis and document in EMR, adjust care plan as needed.
Educate patients and families on learning needs and treatment options.
Deliver safe, effective hemodialysis with the care team.
Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
Initiate emergency response measures when needed.
Serve as a resource, participate in staff training and orientation.
Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and documentation.
Update nursing assessment and care plan with Interdisciplinary Team.
Discuss transplant and modality options with patients.
Complete CAP requirements to advance.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
