Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an Outpatient Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate hemodialysis care in our Birmingham, AL clinic. You will perform nursing assessments, adjust treatment plans, and educate patients and families under supervision of the Clinical Educator and Nurse Leader.

This entry-level RN role requires knowledge of nephrology care, CPR/BLS certification, and readiness to advance through the CAP program, with opportunities for leadership and quality improvement involvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and state nursing licensure.
• Entry-level RN with <2 years nephrology nursing; 9 months RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate patient care during dialysis sessions.
• Document data in patient records and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and options.
• Supervise Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as Team Leader.
• Administer medications per protocol and respond to emergencies.
