Qualifications

• 3+ years in presales, sales engineering, or comparable client-facing technical role with an advanced sales component.
• Working knowledge of application security concepts: secure SDLC, SAST/DAST/SCA, code review, vulnerability management, web/API security.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and AI security risks, including GenAI risks and governance.
• Exposure to DevSecOps tooling and practices: CI/CD, containers, cloud environments.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain technical content to technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Must reside in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Delaware, New Jersey, or DC. Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; no visa sponsorship available. A privately held cybersecurity services and solutions firm that works as a trusted advisor to large enterprises and government agencies is hiring a presales engineer for its Mid-Atlantic territory. You will work alongside account executives and senior application security and AI engineering leaders to qualify opportunities and position solutions focused on application security and AI security. The role is designed for someone with several years of client-facing presales or sales engineering experience who wants to deepen their technical expertise. Practice leads keep final decision authority on deals.

Responsibilities
