Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Social Worker – Custody and Removal Coordinator in Livingston, TX to support ICE detention facilities and field offices. The CRC will address detainee needs, coordinate services, and assist with release and removal planning while ensuring trauma-informed care and compliance with policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s in social work or psychology, fluency in English and Spanish, and strong communication and cultural competency. Travel and fast-paced environments are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs, requests, and complaints.
• Help with parent/child communication and child welfare matters.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate discussions on sensitive topics like abuse and pregnancy.
• Provide noncitizen referrals for care and follow-up.
• Support release and removal planning for vulnerable individuals.
• Develop a national resource database for CRC/ERO use.
