Job summary

LUKOS LLC is seeking a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator in Tacoma, WA. The CRC assists ICE staff, provides support to detained individuals on trauma, health care, and safety issues, and coordinates removal planning and resources.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish capabilities, experience with victims or vulnerable populations, and the ability to navigate complex detention environments. On-site work at ICE facilities or offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level knowledge of the case management process.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral, (Except for ERO HQ positions)
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
• Ability to utilize telephonic interpreter/translation services.
• Ability to adapt to sudden schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with detains' needs and complaints regarding non-officer or immigration case issues.
• Assist officers with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Support release/removal planning and resource development for noncitizens.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to provide orientation to CRC services.
• Develop national resource database for CRC/ERO use.
