Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Custody and Resource Coordinator to support ERO Field Office and detention facilities in Tacoma, WA. The role focuses on maintaining a safe detention environment and providing services to detained individuals, including responses to victims, trauma and health needs.

The CRC will work at designated ICE locations, coordinating with staff on intake, referrals, and specialized housing programs, while ensuring language interpretation and compassionate support across diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work or Psychology or equivalent.
• Master’s degree or advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.
• Experience with victims, trauma-informed programming, immigrants or foreign-born individuals.
• Experience with victims in confinement or custodial settings.
• Experience with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with requests and complaints.
• Assist with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate discussions on policy, detention standards, and care for detainees.
• Provide language interpretation for facility staff and detainees.
• Refer noncitizens to appropriate care and follow-up services.
• Conduct wellness checks and follow-ups for vulnerable individuals.
• Meet newly detained individuals to orient them to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for release/removal.
