Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detainees at designated detention facilities or offices in Jena, LA. The role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, victim support, and coordination with ERO and detention staff to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include addressing detainee needs, facilitating communications, arranging language interpretation, and supporting release and removal planning for vulnerable individuals according to policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral

Responsibilities

• Assist with needs, requests from detained noncitizen population regarding non-officer or immigration case issues.
• Assist ERO officers with parent/child communication and/or child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate Disability Accommodation Notifications and follow-up with detention facilities.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards; communicate with detained noncitizens on sensitive topics.
