Job summary

Lukos is seeking a Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detainees and detention facilities. The role involves coordinating services for victims, trauma care, and vulnerable individuals, at designated detention sites or ICE offices.

You will work with ERO staff to ensure safe operations and effective communication across multilingual populations. Based in Lumpkin, GA, the CRC will assist with intake orientation, disability accommodations, and release planning, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Maintains current certification in BLS or CPR/BLS per CDC guidelines.
• TB test and immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella and Influenza).

Responsibilities

• Assist detainees with needs, requests, and complaints related to non‑officer issues.
• Support ERO staff on parent/child communication and child welfare matters.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Offer referrals to care and follow‑up services (medical, mental health, etc.).
• Conduct detainee wellness checks and follow‑ups as requested.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to orient them to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and vulnerable populations in detention.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for release/removal.
