Job summary

Gr8ttek is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist in Ketchikan, AK, offering long-term potential for a contract-to-hire track. The role pays about $20.00 per hour on a W2 basis, with a typical conversion around six months.

The candidate will perform end-user computing support across PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers, and will engage in IMAC activities along with strong desk-side service. Prior ITIL-aligned practices and OEM certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in basic to moderately complex troubleshooting in end-user environments.
• Experience with PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets and printers.
• A+ certification desirable; ITIL knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to client-identified VIPs
• Responds to change management requests including installing new PC equipment, providing end-user deskside support and other related activities
• 3+ Years Experience Performing Install/Move/Add or Change (IMAC) activities
• Perform all assigned desk-side support activities
• Display outstanding technical and professional services skills at all times
• Meet - established customer service satisfaction levels and other operational/customer service metrics as outlined in established guidelines
• Proactively communicate with the end-user and service desk personnel regarding arrival times, repair time estimates and the status of the repair
• Understands and follows all documented service operations policies and procedures
