Job summary

Networking Technologies + Support is seeking a Desktop Support/PC Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for a large medical university. You will support PCs and peripherals, plan, install, configure, maintain, and optimize hardware, software, and communication platforms.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience with Windows desktops/laptops, imaging software, and excellent customer service. This on-site position in Charlottesville, VA includes competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops.
• CompTIA A+ preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical assistance requests via phone or tickets.
• Educate end-users on hardware and software resolutions.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Track and route problems and document resolutions.
• Stay current with system updates and changes.
• Set up new user hardware/software.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory.
• Clone computers using imaging software and maintain images.
• Provide support for printers and scanners.
• Assist users with network, VPN, wireless issues.
• Escalate incidents to IT staff when appropriate.
