Job summary

Networking Technologies + Support (NTS) seeks a Desktop Support/PC Technician in Charlottesville, VA to provide day-to-day technical support for PCs, printers, scanners, and network connectivity. You will install and configure software, maintain inventories, and resolve hardware issues for a large medical university client.

Requirements include 1–3 years of Windows desktop support and customer service experience.

Qualifications

1–3 years of Windows desktop/laptop support.
Experience troubleshooting hardware issues.
Experience installing software and updates.
Experience troubleshooting basic network, printing problems.
Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

Respond to technical assistance requests via phone or tickets.
Educate end-users on hardware/software resolutions.
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
Track and route problems and document resolutions.
Stay current with system information, changes, updates.
Set up new user hardware/software.
Maintain hardware and software inventory.
Clone computers using imaging software and maintain images.
Provide technical assistance for printers and scanners.
Assist users with network, VPN, portal and wireless issues.
Escalate incidents to IT Network Administrators, Business Analysts or Developers when appropriate.
