Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Blacksburg to provide frontline IT support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will deploy and maintain computer hardware, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, assist with basic network connectivity, track and resolve support requests, and maintain technical documentation.

The role works closely with senior IT staff to support infrastructure projects and the department’s broader technology needs, including software license

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
