Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking candidates to support our client’s IT department in Bedford, Ohio. The role focuses on desktop support, diagnosing and resolving software/hardware issues, deploying Windows 10/11, and re-imaging machines as needed. This entry‑level pathway offers a contract‑to‑hire route with strong growth potential in IT support.

The position is a first shift onsite role in Bedford, OH, with benefits described below and opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

Previous Helpdesk or Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred.
IT certifications are desirable for this role.
This will be a first shift opportunity on a Contract to Hire basis.

Responsibilities

To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications
Swapping out laptops/desktops and deploying Windows 10/11
Re‑imaging windows 11 onto machines from windows 10
To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon
To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
To install and configure new IT equipment
To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
To resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners
To maintain a first‑class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
CompTIA Certifications are desirable for this role
